Scotland’s Eternal Guardian
This is Galantha’s story which I have set out in three parts. I first met Galantha one evening in 2016. She was standing by the three standing stones, just outside Moffat in the pouring rain with her thumb out seeking a lift I stopped and gave her a lift into the centre of town where she was to meet with her sisters.

Our Reader Reviews
Thoroughly enjoyed reading Scotland’s Eternal Guardian and at the same time learning more about some factual early history in what we now call Scotland As well as learning about the past the book also discusses the possible scenarios for Scotland’s political and constitutional future. I highly recommend a read.
Being from Dumfriesshire, I purchased Scotland’s Eternal Guardian through Meta. It is unusual in being written as spoken but I felt I was always in the book, with Galantha’s tribe fighting the Romans and on her historic tour round Dumfriesshire that part was really interesting. Not being particularly political the later part re Scotland’s future made sense by offering the pros and cons of future possibilities. Well worth a read.
I purchased Scotland’s Eternal Guardian online as I have always had an interest in Scotland’s history. It was not until I was in Chapter 2 that I really began to enjoy it and become involved in the story. I loved the descriptions of the battles with the Romans and the local historic tales around Dumfriesshire. An interesting way to end the book with Scotland’s future possibilities. Very interesting and informative
Took me a couple of pages to realise why it was in part written in the future and the past. But the Roman battles and the tribal journey was really well researched and written. If you haven’t visited the towns of Dumfriesshire, it is very enlightening and at times humorous. Scots or not, the part on Scotland’s future made a great deal of sense.
