The chullo is a garment made alpaca wool whose preparation is attributed to the ancient Peruvians during the pre-Hispanic era to protect themselves from the high Andean cold. This hat is handmade by the Peruvian artisans of the Andean community of Cusco, and hand selected on our journey to Machu Picchu. We've several other color styles you may also enjoy on our store page in red, yellow, green, black, and blue natural dyes. All styles are considered unisex. As some of our knits were sourced from smaller communities tags are not present as they were not factory knitted.
