Maha means great, Prajna means wisdom, and paramita means “going beyond” or perfection. It is chanted in every Mahayana and Seon monastery in the world. It is commonly chanted at the beginning of a Dharma talk, or at the end of prayer chanting and formal Buddhist ceremonies.
