Beautiful Poncho, Made of Vintage Mossi Indigo, Burkina Faso

These Mossi works are highly collectible, and loved by both collectors as well as the African owners and families for their fine, soft, and tight weaving, and for the way they beautifully fade over the years of washing and use, from darker blue to patterns of lines, squares, and “plaid” from the various thread colors originally used.

One-of-a-Kind Poncho, Made of Vintage Indigo Textile from Mali

Fun to wear, top/poncho made with a vintage, medium weight, striped indigo textile, from the Dogon in Mali. I have had several of these made in Africa, and each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind, some with patches, and a variety of fabrics used. Please check my store as I receive and list more. 29” x55”; Very good-excellent condition; washed and clean, will not bleed; Neck and bottom edges hemmed. Textiles used in these pieces are old, and have been worn as wrappers before being made into the tops, so some may be a few minor “imperfections”, or maybe some repaired holes/flaws. However, many people prefer and/or appreciate the “wear” on some pieces, since they show the age, origin, and use of the older cloths. Please check my store as I receive and list more.
