Jocabet Mariño Pachari made this vest in 2022, I was finally able to get it from her in 2023. Jocabet is a master Yanesha spinner and weaver. Native cotton spinning is an essential part of Yanesha culture and this vest is a wonderful example of Jocabet’s skill.
Colorful embroidery on white huipil. The neck hole is small ( even with the button) as are the arm holes as well . It is sewn closed on the sides . 28 x 18 inches . The stitches can be unpicked to open it or make the arm holes larger. Please look closely at the photos for condition and wear. This is in good condition feels barely worn .
