The Japanese Tabi is designed for indoor activity such as Traditional Martial Arts (Iaido, Kyudo, Ninpo/Ninjutsu, Jujutsu, etc.), as well as Tea Ceremony, Ikebana, and semi-formal to formal social and religious ceremonies. Some people enjoy wearing Tabi when relaxing at home, for no particular activity. This Tabi has a thick sole, heavy-duty stitching, and thick cotton cloth cover for the foot.
