This traditional mask, called maqna'a, was worn by women in the Persian Gulf region. as shown in the accompanying photo. It comes with a rope. You can create loops on either side to draw the string and tie it around the back of the head. (We didn't make the loops because we didn't want to accidentally damage the item.) The mask width is 24 cm (approximately 9.5"). The height is 12 cm (just under 5"). This item can be framed or displayed as an interesting piece of traditional ethnic clothing.
